1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to OnPlane. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OnPlane mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by OnPlane, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our").

OnPlane is an AI-powered golf coaching platform that provides swing analysis, voice coaching, personalized practice plans, session grading, and progress tracking to help you improve your golf game.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use OnPlane.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use OnPlane. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By using OnPlane, you represent that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Accounts & Subscriptions

To access OnPlane, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions

OnPlane offers subscription plans that provide access to premium features including unlimited swing analysis, voice coaching, practice plans, and progress tracking. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and automatically renew unless cancelled.

Free Tier

We may offer a limited free tier that allows you to use certain features of OnPlane without a paid subscription. Free usage may be subject to limits on the number of swings analyzed, sessions recorded, or features available.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.

4. Service Description

OnPlane provides the following features:

Swing Analysis

Record your golf swing using your phone's camera. Our AI analyzes your video to detect swing phases, body positioning, tempo, and other mechanics, then provides personalized feedback.

Voice Coaching

AI-generated voice coaching narrates your session recaps and swing breakdowns. The voice controls video playback, pausing at key frames to explain what it observes—similar to having a coach talk you through your swing.

Coach Personas

Choose from five coaching styles to match your preferences: Classic Pro (traditional instruction), Encouraging (supportive and positive), Direct (no-nonsense feedback), Technical (detailed mechanics), or Motivational (energy and enthusiasm). The underlying analysis is identical—only the communication style differs.

Practice Plans

OnPlane generates personalized practice plans based on your swing patterns and areas for improvement. Plans include specific drills and focus areas tailored to your needs.

One Fix Mode

Commit to improving one specific aspect of your swing per session. When enabled, all other feedback is hidden so you can focus on deliberate, targeted practice—the way professionals train.

Session Grades

After each practice session, OnPlane provides an A-F grade with an explanation of how you performed relative to your goals. Grades help you understand whether your practice was effective.

Delta Mode

Compare two swings or sessions side-by-side to see what actually changed. Delta Mode highlights differences so you can track your progress over time.

Progress Tracking

View your improvement trends, session history, and metrics over time. Track your journey from where you started to where you are now.

5. AI Coaching & Limitations

OnPlane uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to analyze your golf swing and provide coaching feedback. By using OnPlane, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Informational Purposes Only

All AI-generated analysis, coaching feedback, practice plans, session grades, and recommendations are provided for informational purposes only. OnPlane is a tool to supplement your golf improvement journey, not a replacement for professional instruction.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, AI analysis may not be perfectly accurate in all cases. Results depend on video quality, lighting, angle, and other factors. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any analysis for your specific situation.

Not Professional Instruction

OnPlane is not a substitute for working with a qualified golf instructor. For personalized, hands-on coaching, we recommend consulting a PGA professional or certified instructor. OnPlane works best as a complement to professional lessons—helping you practice between sessions and validate that you're making the changes your coach suggested.

AI-Generated Content

Voice coaching and written feedback are generated by artificial intelligence. Coach personas are AI characters, not real people. The coaching voice is synthesized using text-to-speech technology.

Session Grades Are Relative

Session grades (A-F) reflect your performance relative to your own baseline and goals, not an absolute measure of skill. A grade of "A" means you had a productive session based on your objectives—not that your swing is perfect.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all videos, session data, and other content you create using OnPlane ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and analyze your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to upload your User Content and that it does not violate any third party's rights or any applicable laws. Do not record other people without their consent.

We do not claim ownership of your videos or data. We will not sell, share, or use your User Content for advertising purposes without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use OnPlane for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Record other people without their knowledge and consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free tiers or promotions
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service without permission
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data, videos, and session history in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to OnPlane if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of serious violations.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

No Warranty

OnPlane is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Physical Activity Risk

Golf involves physical activity and risk of injury. OnPlane provides swing analysis and coaching suggestions for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your physical safety. Always warm up properly, use appropriate equipment, and consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns about physical activity or existing injuries.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnPlane and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Physical injury sustained while practicing golf
• Reliance on AI-generated coaching or analysis
• Loss of data or content
• Service interruptions or technical issues

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of OnPlane shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for violations of intellectual property rights.

You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against OnPlane.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of OnPlane after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
